The NIH STRIDES Initiative (hereinafter "STRIDES") harnesses the power of AWS’ cloud computing technology combined with NIH’s biomedical research capabilities to accelerate new scientific discoveries and provide researchers with the latest cloud tools and technologies. STRIDES aims to reduce barriers to accessing, computing on, and sharing biomedical research data. It also leverages partnerships to provide training on the latest cloud tools and technologies, professional services to help optimize cloud computing environments, and best practices guidance. NIH plans to establish additional partnerships to broaden access to services and tools as STRIDES works to expand participation to the many academic and research institutions across the nation that receive NIH support.
